Departures is a Singapore-based videogame blog that offers independent games writing from and about the country’s growing game industry, and occasionally, beyond these shores.
Our team consists of developers from the industry who hope to provide a unique and thought-provoking form of videogame journalism that Singapore doesn’t see enough of, through various articles that range from analyses and commentaries to experiences and essays, or simply musings and chronicles of our journey as game developers.
Co-Founder at IMBA Interactive & Part-time Slut at SlutWalkSG.
Justin C. Kang (jck)
Game designer by day, horribly amateur gamer and musician by night.
Lived in Singapore his whole life, except for a brief period where he kicked off his game development career in California.
Loves cats, and fast food, and collects more videogames than he can probably finish in nine lifetimes.
As one might already realise, this is hardly our full-time job, and as meticulous as we try to be with our research, some points may still be erroneous or obsolete, so please do reach us and correct us when such occurrences arise.
Also, if you like what we are doing and feel you can contribute to this site, either on a regular or one-off basis, please do not hesitate to contact us and offer your assistance. We can’t pay you, but we can offer a nice fuzzy hug from the neighbourhood cat as thanks!
